The Dallas Mavericks cruised to an impressive road victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 to easily cash out Thursday's Look of the Day. Let's finish the week strong with another NBA playoff pick for Friday's slate.
The Denver Nuggets take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a must-win Game 3 on Friday night, and we're eyeing up a player prop on Aaron Gordon.
Gordon went off for 20 points on 8-14 shooting and 3-5 from three in Game 2, but he benefitted from Rudy Gobert sitting out for the Wolves. It'll be a different story with the imposing center back in the lineup for Game 3.
In Game 1, when Gobert was on the court, Gordon managed only nine points on 4-6 shooting and 0-1 from three. Gobert shuts down the paint against opposing offenses, and that's where Gordon racks up most of his points. If the forward can't get to the rim, he's not effective as a scorer.
In four games against Gobert and the Timberwolves this season, Gordon is averaging 8.0 points on just 6.3 field-goal attempts per game. He went over 12.5 points just once in those four games, and it took him nine field-goal attempts and two made threes to get there.
