The New Orleans Saints could be without their top cornerback for a bit of time. Marshon Lattimore suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 11. Head coach Dennis Allen says that he could miss 'significant time' with the issue.
On Tuesday, the Saints placed wide receiver Michael Thomas on injured reserve with a knee injury. It was notable that Lattimore did not join him on the injury list.
That being said, Allen cleared the air regarding Lattimore's injury outlook. The team has not decided whether or not the star CB will be placed on IR yet.
DA: Gonna continue to evaluate Lattimore, determine later if IR needs to be done

They may not have that decision regarding an IR stint this week - as they attempt to see how he is progressing.
Lattimore did not practice on Wednesday. Don't expect him to join practice anytime soon, either.
His absence is a major one. While he hasn't gotten quite the attention of other CB1s around the NFL, Lattimore has had an awesome season for New Orleans. Quarterbacks have not looked in his direction often whatsoever.
That has led to an increase in forced turnovers elsewhere for the defense. Lattimore was back to looking like himself from earlier in his career before suffering the ankle injury, too.
While he's out, expect Isaac Yiadom to slide into the starting lineup for the Saints defense. He's played well when on the field so far this season as a veteran. IT also puts more pressure on Paulson Adebo and Alontae Taylor to perform.
